Lip Flip or Lip Fill?

Have you heard of a lip flip?

The lip flip is a quick cosmetic procedure often taking about 10 minutes. We strategically inject cosmetic Botox into the muscle above the top lip (orbicularis oris) to relax the muscle, roll the lip out, and give the appearance of more volume or, on the flip side (pun intended), relax the lip muscle to soften a gummy smile.

As a bonus, the lip flip also helps prevent the development of wrinkles around the mouth by temporarily reducing repetitive muscle movements and strain.

Results last anywhere from 3 to 6 months depending on your metabolic rate and other factors.

It’s different than lip filler

The lip fill uses dermal filler to physically make the lips plumper. Filler is a hyaluronic acid gel that helps shape and contour features, and results can last up to 9 months.

While these two procedures target different points, the lip flip and fill are often used in conjunction to give you luscious lips and fuller volume.
